The hollow ground nose of the tungsten carbide tip allows deep plunge cuts, at any angle, to remove cones from bowls and vessels. The Slicer can also be used as a heavy-duty parting tool. It should be mounted in the Main Handle with the Side Handle assembled at a convenient position on the Slicer blade. It is recommended that the Side Handle be placed in the vertical position to counteract downward forces.

Bought this for my husband who loves woodworking. He says it’s a decent slicer for the price. Itβs not the best but gets the job done.
David Wilson –
Good product for the price. Itβs not as durable as I hoped, but itβs functional and works well with the RS2000 system.
Laura Martinez –

Itβs a decent slicer for the price. Itβs not the best quality, but itβs functional and gets the job done.
John Carter –
The Robert Sorby RS205 slicer is an affordable addition to the RS2000 system. It performs decently for the price, but it feels a bit flimsy compared to higher-end models. It’s great for occasional use but might not hold up under heavy-duty tasks.
Emily Taylor –
I was looking for a budget-friendly slicer, and the RS205 fits the bill. Itβs easy to attach to the RS2000 system and does the job for basic slicing. However, the build quality isnβt the best, and I noticed some minor alignment issues.
Michael Brown –
For the price, the RS205 slicer is a good deal. Itβs functional and gets the job done, but donβt expect premium quality. Itβs ideal for hobbyists or those on a tight budget, but professionals might want to invest in a more durable option.
Sarah Johnson –
The RS205 slicer is a cost-effective solution for the RS2000 system. Itβs lightweight and easy to use, but the blade dulls quickly, and the overall construction feels a bit cheap. Itβs okay for light work but not for intensive tasks.
David Lee –
This slicer is a decent budget option for the RS2000 system. Itβs not the most robust tool, but itβs functional and does what itβs supposed to. If youβre just starting out or donβt use it often, itβs worth considering.
John Carter –
The Robert Sorby RS205 Slicer is a great addition to the RS2000 System. It’s affordable and does the job well. The build quality is solid, and it slices through materials with ease. Highly recommend for anyone using the RS2000 System.
Emily Davis –
I was looking for a budget-friendly slicer for my RS2000 System, and the RS205 fits the bill perfectly. It’s easy to use and maintains a good edge. The only downside is that it feels a bit lightweight, but it hasn’t affected performance.
Michael Brown –
The RS205 Slicer is a decent product for the price. It works well with the RS2000 System, but I noticed it requires frequent sharpening. It’s a good option if you’re on a tight budget, but there are better slicers out there.
Sarah Wilson –
I’m impressed with the Robert Sorby RS205 Slicer. It’s affordable, durable, and performs exceptionally well with the RS2000 System. It’s a must-have for anyone who values quality without breaking the bank.
David Martinez –
The RS205 Slicer is a good value for money. It’s not the most advanced slicer, but it gets the job done. I’ve had no issues with it so far, and it’s a great match for the RS2000 System.
John D. Carpenter –
The Robert Sorby RS205 Slicer is a budget-friendly addition to the RS2000 System, but it feels a bit flimsy compared to other Sorby tools. It gets the job done for light work, but I wouldn’t rely on it for heavy-duty tasks. The price is right, but you might want to consider upgrading if you need durability.
Emily H. Turner –
I was pleasantly surprised by the RS205 Slicer. For the price, it performs well and integrates seamlessly with my RS2000 System. It’s not the most premium tool in the lineup, but it’s perfect for hobbyists or those on a tight budget. Great value for money!
Michael R. Thompson –
If you’re looking for a cheap slicer for the RS2000 System, this is it. The RS205 does what it’s supposed to, but don’t expect any frills. The build quality is decent, but it lacks the precision of higher-end models. It’s a good starter tool, but professionals might want something more robust.
Sarah K. Mitchell –
The RS205 Slicer is a solid choice for those who need an affordable option. It’s lightweight and easy to handle, though it might not last as long as pricier alternatives. For occasional use, it’s a great buy, but frequent users should invest in a more durable model.
David L. Reynolds –
I bought the RS205 Slicer as a backup tool, and it’s served me well so far. It’s not the most refined tool in the Sorby lineup, but it’s reliable for the price. If you’re on a budget, this is a good option, but don’t expect top-tier performance.
